The 12 censuses of 1825 are pathbreaking. They are the outgrowth of a researcher, Mr. Michel Laliberté-Colin, member (# 9773) of the Société généalogique canadienne-française de Montréal. Mr. Laliberté is native of Acton Vale in the Eastern Townships.
I performed twelve 1825 censuses in Richelieu-Drummond, St-Hyacinthe, Berthier, Brome, Sherbrooke, Richmond, Compton, Chambly and Verchères Counties, as well as a 1831 census in the Ély County(Valcourt, Racine and Maricourt).
